Who are Retroburn Game Studios?

For those of you who don't know, I've long been interested in game development and it is my intent to become a professional games developer in the near future.

I have worked on a number of small mods and games in the past but in early 2009 I began learning C# (transitioning from a background of C and C++) and started using Microsoft's XNA Framework.

The XNA Framework is a cross platform system for developing games which can run on a variety of devices (PC, XBOX360, Microsoft Zune and Windows Phone 7). Microsoft also offer an inexpensive way of distributing your game to potential customers via XBOX Live! via the Indie Games Channel built into the XBOX360's dashboard.

Soon after I started learning C# and XNA I started looking for people to help with the media such as 3D models and 2D artwork. We decided upon a name and brand image with which to release our games and Retroburn Game Studios was born.

We currently have a number of games in development and almost twenty contributors working on the projects. I have spent much of my own time developing a base engine that is upgradeable and re-usable between games to speed up development time for future games. I am very excited about releasing our projects on XBOX Live! and hope to have the first few games out in the coming months.
